The Draconic Royal Family

Oh my geez this took FOREVER to finish.

    Now, this is a part of my own AU. Where, long before Celestia and Luna there were born  Dragons and Ponies ruled Equestria [Note these dragons differ from the ones we see in the show as they rely on certain elements to survive, they do not eat gems but they can feed on love, much like the changelings and be empowered by conflict, like the sirens. But their energy, Their life force, is derived from the earth itself. Such as the elements. They can live off sunlight, water, magma, or even the air itself, albeit weakly]

    For years the Dragons and Ponies were at war, Before a young Dragon by the name of Brassier fell in love with a young Alicorn named Solar Wind. They had a Foal together that they named Shimmering Blaze(Thus creating a Dragon Pony hybrid Known as Draconis) and that foal caused the end of the war. Dragons and Ponies lived together in harmony and in tribute to Solar Wind, Shimmering Blaze and Brassier. Equestrian Dragons are allowed to Rule kingdoms. During the Great Ceremony that united the nations, Solar Wind Created the Elements of Harmony, and Brassier The Draconic Gems (Creative name I know).

    At the Time Celestia and Luna were born, Two Draconi were born, and Aided the Princesses in many of their battles becoming great allies to Equestria. The two Draconi names were Alabaster Sky and Flaming Shield. They are the current rulers of Dragon's Keep. A kingdom Southwest of Canterlot. Much like our Dragons, Black Dragons are the most powerful, wise and they live the longest. The same goes for Black Scaled Draconi. Black scaled Draconi-Pegasi fly faster than many normal pegasi. Black scaled Draconi-Unicorn Magic is extremely potent, but can be self destructive if handled improperly. Black Scaled Draconi-Earth Ponies Are extremely strong and have a natural connection with lesser animals, to the extent of having a telepathic bond with them. Black Scaled Draconi-Alicorns however, are seen as dangerous, albeit rare. In fact there is a 1 in 98 chance that Draconi-Alicorn is born.(The circumstances are that a pure blooded dragon and a Pure Blooded Alicorn must sire the foal in an act of the truest of love) And a 1 in 980,000 chance that it will be a Black scaled Draconi-Alicorn. They are often driven into dark magic and The Night Mare (Essentially Luna wasn't the only one to succumb to it, and We'll leave it at that), becoming power hungry demons. The Draconic Gems, Along with the Elements of Harmony are required to defeat them. The Draconic Gems also represent specific things (Much like the Elements of Harmony), The Dragon's Sapphire is joy, air, and cunning. The Dragon's Ruby is honesty, fire, and True Strength, The Dragon's Amethyst is a symbol of wisdom, wind, and speed. The Dragon's Emerald is analysis, dominance and water. The Dragon's Onyx is loyalty,compassion, And Earth. Finally The Dragon's Jasper is power, and stands as the Crown Jewel and Symbol of the Dragon Nation(Much like the sun is for Equestria).

Brin(Black Stallion) is the crowned King of Dragons Keep. He was but a Prince when he met Amila, Traveling to Canterlot for a diplomatic meeting He has Crimson Red Eyes which is a highly recessive trait amongst both Ponies and Dragons. He only has them due to a genetic mutation. Bearer of the Dragon's Emerald

Amber(Small filly on Brin's Back) Is their First born Foal. She was born 9 months before her brothers but as they age it looks more like she's four years older.She has a closer resemblance to her father due to her Dark Mane and Coat(Both of which are dominant). Her Violet eyes are due to an extremely recessive trait. In fact Draconi/Dragons with Violet Eyes are Believed to be the reincarnation Lord Brassier himself.  Bearer of the Dragon's Amethyst

Roy(The curly maned colt) Is the "elder" Twin, being born 30 minutes before his twin brother. He has his mothers eyes and her Streaks of Lighter color. This is a recessive trait. Bearer of the Dragon's Ruby

Ray ( The long Maned colt) Is the "younger" Twin. He has his mother's eyes but they are Slightly brighter. His streaks are Dark rather than light unlike his brother. Bearer of the Dragon's Sapphire

and Amila(The Yellow Mare) Is the Crowned Queen of Dragon's Keep. She was an upper-class mare living in Canterlot when she met Brin. She Has Golden eyes , but rather Dominant within Dragons. Bearer of the Dragon's Onyx
